Legal Services NYC provides free civil legal assistance to low-income New Yorkers across all five boroughs. The organization offers help in areas such as asylum, family petitions, lawful permanent residence and employment authorization renewals, naturalization, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), U and T visas, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) relief, and waivers of inadmissibility. Staff also handle non-detained removal defense, including representation for unauthorized minors. Services are offered in English, Spanish, and multiple other languages through the LSNYC Access Line. Assistance may include brief advice, referrals, clinics, or full representation, depending on eligibility and capacity.
