Catholic Migration Services (CMS) provides free immigration legal assistance for low-income immigrants, including children in removal proceedings.
Services include representation in immigration court; applications for asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), and other humanitarian protections such as U and T visas and VAWA.
CMS also assists youth pursuing SIJS by working with family courts.
For individuals without counsel, the Pro Se Plus program offers resources for self-representation.
Services are offered in multiple languages and CMS charges no attorney&rsquo;s fees, though government filing fees may apply.
Consultations are by appointment and capacity is limited.
CMS also provides legal help in housing and employment matters and offers Know Your Rights education.
