Comprehensive Services

Church World Service (CWS) in Jersey City provides free or low-cost immigration legal services to refugees, asylum seekers, and immigrants in northern New Jersey. Their legal team supports:

• Afghan and Ukrainian nationals with asylum, TPS, and green card applications
• Unaccompanied children with pro bono legal representation
• Immigrants seeking DACA, work permits, family petitions, citizenship, and more

Services are available in English and Spanish. Appointments are required.

In addition, CWS delivers holistic social services such as case management, access to basic needs and healthcare referrals, employment readiness support, language access and interpretation, and community orientation, all grounded in a culturally responsive, trauma-informed approach that promotes safety, stability, and long-term integration.
